CAT TOOLS, Computer Aided Translation Tools

Computer Assisted Translation (CAT) is a way to translate quickly with the help of dedicated software. The translation process usually involves the use of a translation memory (TM), which contains the source text and a proper translation in the form of a target text. Thanks to this, the translator can easily take advantage of connected segments during translation of future texts. The translation itself does not happen automatically, but under the auspices of an experienced translator, whose task is to verify the searched sequences or insert new ones. Additionally, the software enables own term bases to be organized in electronic format.

BTW Engineering possesses vast technical term bases, developed over its years of operation.
